Dan Hasby-Oliver is a Menswear Writer, Brand Ambassador and Global Men's Trends Analyst who divides his time between Bath in Somerset and London. Establishing Last Style of Defense (LSoD) in July 2009, Dan has become one of the most recognisable names in fashion blogging, with he and LSoD being featured in and name-checked by ShowStudio, Mr Porter, Harvey Nichols, Vogue Italia, Shortlist Mode, BBC, FT How to Spend It and Notion as well as being recognised by The Guardian, HM Dept Culture, Media and Sport and the British Fashion Council, amongst others noted the the side bar on the main page. 

Last Style of Defense has had over 2,000,000 readers since its creation, and is heavily ranked as one of the most influential menswear blogs in the world, as well as the UK. Dan is also proudly represented by Handpicked Media. 

From working along side Jodie Harsh, a celebrity DJ, which gave him contact within the music and fashion industry, Dan co-ran Circus, the UK's Most Fashionable Club Event 2008, as well as running two fashion club events of his own; Sex Tape and Blasphemy. Dan was Contributing Nightlife Editor of Attitude magazine, Senior Fashion Writer for London Kicks and has written for Adones, The Glass, Velour, ShortList Mode magazines, as well blogging for 7th Man Magazine Digital and for an array of brands and sites. Dan also broadcasts his views on fashion topics on BBC radio.  

Dan says, "LSoD has always been about bringing the best style, news and products from both London and Los Angeles, as I believe they are sister cities in terms of style and sensibilities. I have long championed both young and new designers as well as the best well known houses, labels and brands".

Dan studied at University for the Creative Arts, Epsom, graduating with a BA (Hons) Fashion Journalism and whilst here worked in luxury menswear retail along side his projects mentioned above. Dan has a love for Selfridges, Topman, Jimmy Choo, Louboutin, Mr Porter and Brit designers and the occassional Chicken Katsu Curry at Wagamama.
