So what do you wear on a flight? For many, its a case of throwing on a tracksuit and hoodie for the best possible comfort on a long-haul flight. Yet, whilst it maybe cozy – it doesn’t look great nor does it breath well as the nature of the fabric will insulate rather than regulate body temperature on a warm, poorly air-conditioned plane.

I do find it disheartening to see people shlop through Heathrow or Gatwick in grubby grey tracksuit pants, with neck pillows slung around their shoulders and their sliders (with socks) slapping against the floor. I’m off to east Asia for 18 days and will not be wearing any of these – but I would like to wear this as I arrive at Heathrow on Thursday evening, ready to board my flight to Tokyo, our first stop.

London-based lounge and underwear brand Hamilton and Hare have updated their Travel Suit for SS19, with a four-way stretch and breathable microwaffle cotton with a refined tailored silhouette, including interior ticket pocket – the perfect size for a passport too – and headphone collar slip for ultimate accessibility and ease, which is incredibly well thought out.  Designed specifically to address the wardrobe dilemma that is plane travel, this is the only item I would want to wear as it is comfortable, look incredible and is hugely breathable which means you will arrive as fresh as you left off. With such great quality, and a suit that works not just for plane travel but everyday, the total price of £390 is superb. Team with a crisp white tee or a relaxed cotton shirt and you may just find yourself selected to turn left…
