I have been looking for a new premium backpack, after my lovely EastPak eventually succumbed to retirement after a year or so of extreme packing. After considering a couple of brands, I was contacted by Knomo London to try and test (and yes, gifted) one of their backpacks. After deciding that I wanted a premium leather piece – as well as a versatile piece – I found THE PERFECT product: Dale Leather Tote Backpack. What I found ideal, for me, was that it is both a tote – which is great if travelling light and want to appear a little more business like for meetings – or a backpack when carrying a heavier bag which won’t strain on one side of the body as it naturally leans to one side. This is cleverly achieved by detachable straps which can be hidden in the back exterior pocket, and connected to seat-belt like sockets which are hidden in discreet slots at their side of the bags base. To be very honest, for me, these do get a bit twisted which can become quite annoying however if you can master the art of the quick-on-and-off whilst travelling around the city, this can become a thought of the past….
I have been using the bag for a couple of weeks now, and I am more than pleased with how it fits into my daily life to and from the office, to the bar, to carry a change of clothes between my flat and my boyfriends and – well whenever I need a bag. I decided to shoot the bag at the new wing at the Victoria and Albert museum, not only because the location is stunning but because the brand is launching a collaboration with the museum next month. Like the museum, the bag offers so much – the features that this medium sized bag contains is quite remarkable.
