Sticking with the California theme today, I was very impressed by Baxter of California – a men’s grooming brand which was founded by Baxter Finley in 1965 after moving from New York City to Los Angeles and noticing the effect the heat and sun had on his skin. The line is based on an everyday grooming regimen containing essential products (and a few luxuries), of which I have been using their clay pomade for hair, and their daily moisturising conditioner. Now, I rarely condition my hair – I know, my bad – however the mint is an invigorating morning punch, and massages easily into the scalp. It contains aloe, which leaves my hair feeling soft after blow-drying and makes it the perfect texture to use a small amount of the clay pomade to style my hair with a matt finish. I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the product, and given that you only need a small amount of each per time, it is guaranteed to last.
