He is recognised as a menswear style icon; a sleek bastion of tailored style as well as a cool, effortless man in casualwear. It then comes as no surprise that David Beckham has continued his partnership with menswear brand Kent & Curwen for the first collection with  creative director Daniel Kearns. But where does Mr Porter, the leading menswear e-tailer, come in? For they are the exclusive launch partner for this offering that spans 21 pieces across outerwear, tailoring, denim and casual tops and shirts.

What is great about the brand, and David Beckham himself, is that is a real partnership – David Beckham get’s stuck in and actively collaborates on all essences of the design and production process. That means, non of the (often) ‘drop in three times and sign it off’ or just putting his face to the campaign – this holds integrity and identity which is far more powerful than any photoshoot and a few column inches of press.

I chose these as I’m a fan of texture, layering and pieces that can combine with other causal or smart separates. However, the one piece I am sure will be flying off the pages of Mr Porter – the black and red lumberjack checked, shearling collared jacket.
