Towards the end of last week; I ventured to the 6th floor roof terrace of Aqua in central London for the launch of the new Herschel Supply x ApexKnit collection. After taking in the stunning views of London on a great summers evening, I took a closer look at the new interaction between the fabric, which is owned exclusively by Herschel Supply, and the limited edition Bad Hills Workshop (BHW) collection.
What is superb about this new technological material is that it is a woven fabric composed of densely woven 600D high-tensile yarn, offering a slight stretch while still maintaining its intended form. By calculating yarn density and pull strength, concise structured silhouettes are created with a distinctive spectral aesthetic and minimal construction seams. Available exclusively at Selfridges, the collection is available in Black, Grey and Orange Multi, the renditions of the newly designed Dayton and contoured Lawson backpacks are accompanied by the versatile Network pouch. As usual, premium icon zippers, forged rubber accents and understated branding finishes each BHW piece to make these limited edition pieces by the cult Canadian brand the backpacks of the future.
