Since I first saw the trailer for Kingsman: The Secret Service, I became hooked with the film and thoroughly enjoyed every second of the film when it was released. I was even more excited when it was announced that not only were Mr Porter involved with the costume collaboration, but they launched the Kingsman shop of Savile Row. The first collection was a menswear dream, with a great mix of basics, suiting and accessories. Whilst many thought it was a one-season offering, the second season of best-selling luxury menswear label Kingsman, launches today on the Mr Porter site.
Originally inspired by 20th Century FOX’s internationally-acclaimed and highest-grossing spy film Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman is an enduring costume to collection collaboration and menswear label designed by award-winning costume designer Ms Arianne Phillips alongside filmmaker Mr Matthew Vaughn and the expert-menswear team at Mr Porter. The collection is comprised of tailoring crafted by heritage manufacturers in Britain and by the best in British partner brands – the latest offering debuts single-breasted styles, lighter fabrications, casualwear and accessories for high summer 2015.
True to the debut collection’s aesthetic of slim cut silhouettes, high armholes and master-finishing, the second season introduces high summer tailoring in the form of cotton chinos, a cornflower blue single button blazer and a sand-coloured double-breasted suit in a linen mix. The tailoring is complemented by a robust range of seasonal essentials from our best in British partner brands. Highlights include lightweight fine gauge knitwear from William Lockie, luxury swimwear from Orlebar Brown, as well as new furnishings from our original Kingsman launch partners: Bremont timepieces; Cutler & Gross eyewear; Drakes ties and pocket squares; Corgi socks; George Cleverley footwear; Mackintosh outerwear, Swaine Adeney Brigg bags and Turnbull & Asser shirting.
