I like these a lot. Working with the estates of the family of James Dean, Frank Sinatra and Muhammad Ali, these shots of the iconic style leaders in everyday moments from their lives, sees them carrying the brand’s characteristic monochrome bags alongside a tagline ‘Very MR PORTER.’ Not only are these shots very well produced (almost as though the etailer had been around at the time the shots were taken), the tagline was developed from a coined term picked-up and referenced by the media, celebrities and customers countless times since the etailers global launch in February 2011. It’s hard to believe that it has only been three years since the menswear arm of Net-A-Porter appeard, as I think of them being around for a lot longer so ingrained they are into the industry. Referencing the timeless style, masculinity and warmth of the Mr Porter brand, the new campaign underscores their positioning as a global style influencer and leader, offering the best selection of men’s brands, award winning editorial content and pre-eminent service.
