Diesel x Selfridges No Noise

Last weekend I had to go to Hermes in the Wonder Room at Selfridges for Mummy Hasby-Oliver (she does taunt me like that) but stumbled across the No Noise Room tucked right at the back. Amongst the other brands and labels that have teamed up with Selfridges, Diesel has joined forces with the department store to accompany their initiative.
Running until the end of March, Selfridges are reaffirming it's commitment to creating shopping experiences that go beyond retail by welcoming customers relax and disconnect from the outside - and buzzing inside - environments. This is really big maxi-trend with a focus on the nomadic and disconnection from technology. The projects boasts a series of events, spaces and projects that promote calm and well-being throughout an eight-week run - the disconnection pods are a must but we warned, they make you look like an Alien.

Diesel have worked to pay homage and embraces the No Noise initiative by creating an exclusive limited-edition 3-piece menswear capsule collection of iconic designs referencing cult pieces from the 90s archive, de-branded, showcasing a minimalist aesthetic, focusing on product quality and function, rather than branding or advertising.

Featuring an update of some of Diesel’s most iconic 90s cult designs, the famous DENVER denim jacket, and a classic pair of light blue washed denim jeans designed using modern laser technology. This is of course, bought together with a classic ‘Only the Brave’ t-shirt featuring a nod to the famous Mohican head design.

I love the mood board below - with the classic Selfridges carrier bag near the top, images of sleeping people and icons of fashion and accessories influencing the Diesel project. Worth a look...
