Sam MC London AW13

We love some attitude here at LSoD and unisex-focused label SAM MC LONDON has been giving us that for a couple of seasons now. Designed by founder Sam McWilliams, a graphic designer-turned-streetwear enthusiast with brief stints at Givenchy and Kanye West. The label focuses on Anglo-Asian-inspired, print-infused street-wear and always has a dark, romantic fairytale behind the inspiration. The MC family has, for generations, enjoyed reading the original fairytales and this season the SHARP TEETH collection tells the story of the Big Bad Wolf.

For Autumn-Winter 13, released to coincide with the London Collections: Men, Sam mocks the season with a collection of baselayers, to ensure the t-shirt can be worn all year round, with baby blue Hawaiian-prints to add irony to your winter wardrobe. The length of the baselayer and low placement of the print, allow for some inventive styling when worn with the range of graphic tees. The collection reintroduces the signature M-cut, established last season, but which will now feature across all tees/sweats/baselayers as a statement of brand identity. As an Englishman and football fan, Sam felt shorts were a ‘must’ for winter! For those who don’t understand, he simply said ‘man up...or wear them over jeans.”

The first and current collection of Sam MC London is available at Beams Japan, Fake Tokyo, The Unconventional, and from our store MC LONDON, as of the end of January 2013. In the mean time, see more images from the collection and like the Facebook page here and follow on Twitter.
