LSoD Business Cards x Instant Print

Well, it has only taken three years but thanks to Instant Print, LSoD has proper business cards. I say proper as they are not made by hand using Smythson thick paper, a printer and a guillotine but are professionally made by the excellent firm that made designing my cards - with a run of 1000 - so simple.

I was sent over a Photoshop template and after about 45 minutes, I was sending off the design to be printed on matt white card, that is stable, sleek and simple which makes quite an impact.

I had decided on a very minimal design of just my name and twitter handle, however after completion it looked a bit stark and bare which is not the image LSoD should be projecting. Knowing I needed my name in bold at the top, and the blog address in the middle, I dissected the logo and placed the tag line below the URL logo and placed the London/Los Angeles city-scape along the base of the card to give it some visual interest. The visualisation of the two urban environments also represents the demographic of my readership and gives the ideal that the blog knows how to communicate all things for the modern, urban, savvy style conscious man. Of course, I had to have my contact email on there and as well as the Twitter and Facebook channels for people to connect and keep up with what's going on. Plus, it is another great way to send a really quick note without the need for the formality of an email.

If you are looking to get yourself some cards without the hastle or time consuming processes that can come with other company's, then Instant Print is ideal and I highly recommended them.

  1. Very nice. Little bit of an American Psycho moment there! I always use Moo for my cards - I just cannot resist a bit of gloss. However need to order some new ones as I changed my phone number recently (some people just cannot take no as an answer...) x
