John Lewis & Co SS13

With such a Nordic feeling going on in menswear and social trends at the moment, I thought the lastest collection from John Lewis & Co - the John Lewis own label - was a great fit. The inspiration is also very on trend as it channels the modern day urban explorer and displays influences from Asia, whilst remaining true to British heritage. The pieces are stunning, I would not mind owning a few when they drop in Feburary.

The collection includes outerwear and waistcoats, utility trousers, chinos and twill shorts which are now staples in the modern man's wardrobe, or should be. The capsule collection, which has been carefully designed to allow the wearer to layer key pieces, also incorporates knitwear, shirting and classic slub t-shirts in block colours and stripes.

John Lewis & Co’s very British aesthetic is made contemporary with an eastern inspired narrative of rich golds, ruby reds and flashes of indigo blues, all shades seen at the London Collections: Men and the European catwalks which confirm the importance of the pieces.
