Mercy & Wild at Young Thread

Young Thread has recently bounced onto the e-tail scene in recent weeks to present a exclusive collection of men’s fashion and accessories from the world’s most exciting independent brands. The collection of brands is succinct, exciting and the looks of the website is a refreshing change from the mass-linear offerings of some large sites.

One such brand is this, Mercy and Wild, that commissions artists to create graphics for the t-shirts based around the brands chosen recipient of 25% of the sale price. Mercy and Wild was founded by model Isaac Carew, who has chosen a charity close to my heart - Dyslexia Action, as the foundation this season who will benefit from this combo of fashion and giving.

Young Thread acts as a platform for young menswear brands, helping to support & introduce them into the consumer market. Excitingly, the SS12 collection showcases talent from across the globe, with brands from Paris, Sweden, Columbia, New York, Australia & beyond which is a truly global gathering of brands.

Their style plays with traditional British dress codes, mixing it with Scandinavian and Australian influences. The look is modern yet classic, updating timeless garments and giving them a contemporary spin, which results in a collection that is fresh, inspired and new.

I suspect there will be great things for both Young Thread and its chosen lables, brands and designers.
