LSoD MR PORTER PICKS + A MR PORTER 'THE JOURNAL' EXCLUSIVE DOLCE AND GABBANA PREVIEW
I am very pleased to give you a sneak preview of The Portfolio section of the Mr Porter, The Journal, released tomorrow, which features four members of the Milan Boxing Team, wearing Dolce and Gabbana. With all the pieces from the brand available at Mr Porter, this a great focus to put some great pieces (I am a big fan of their underwear) into context. When the Milano Thunder Boxing Team was established two years ago, Dolce & Gabbana became their named sponsor immediately, dressing and funding boxers who hail from Brazil to Italy. With the brand well known dressing of the Italian football team, the design duo thought as boxing is a sport which requires discipline, willpower and courage, they were values they firmly believe in, and saw it as a worthy sport to put their name too. Plus who knew - Mr Stefano Gabbana is a keen boxer too.
So I am off to Stockholm, Sweden for a few days and I thought what better way to give you a post but my Mr Porter picks for my trip away. I have never been to the country before but the city is getting a lot of attention of late; not just because of their forward thinking designers but for a Scandinavian culture that is creeping into ours. It is going to be cold - between 3 and 9 degrees so I will be wrapping up very warm however, a bit of snow or chill will not disturb my Nordic Adventure.
